Rulings of Nail Polish for women
Question:
Is it allowed for women to wear nail polish during their menstruation period?
Answer:
First of All, it should be noted that any form of zeenah (adornment) is limited only to the husband in the house. In general, a woman may wear nail polish during her menstruation period because she is not required to offer prayer, fasting, entering the mosque, sexual intercourse, etc. After the menstruation period is over, she has to remove such polish before performing ghusl (ritual bath).
Sheikh Assim Al-Hakim clarifies such ruling and mentions the opinions of scholars regarding the recitation of the Qur’an in the menstruation period.
