Prayer is one of the greatest practical pillars in Islam. Kushu` is very necessary to get the full reward of prayer. Delaying prayer to the end of its time or praying after the time is over leads one to lose khushu` in prayer.
Delaying prayers is one of the characteristics of the hypocrites as mentioned in the Qur`an. There is a complete difference between those who rush to the worship and those who lag behind.
