Most of us feel serene and relaxed when we spend some time between the beautiful blooms, at an open sea or in a vast desert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The same is true when reciting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/\">the Quran<\/a>, remembering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/islamic-creed\/almighty-allah\/who-is-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">God<\/a> or contemplating on His <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/featured-posts\/creation-embryo-quran-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">creation<\/a> and also when one is offering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/fasting-teaches-sincerity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fasting<\/a>. These practices play a significant role in purifying the soul and thus reviving the urges for doing the good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Therefore, the good deeds, such as charity, prayer, reciting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/\">the Quran<\/a>, etc. grow up during the days of fating. This is so apparent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/ramadans-victories-conquest-makkah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramadan<\/a>, people become all set for good works owing to the high purity of their souls, the rise of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/islamic-creed\/the-first-pillar-of-islam-the-testimony-of-faith-the-shahadah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">faith<\/a>, and powerlessness of the evil desires.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition, the Prophet (peace be upon him) indicated that Satan, the source of all evils, is chained in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/ramadan-objectives-lessons-part-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramadan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: \u201cThe Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, &#8220;When <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/required-ramadan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramadan<\/a> begins, the gates of\u00a0 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/ramadans-first-night-open-the-gates-of-blessings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paradise<\/a>) Jannah are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained.&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/islamic-history\/albukhari-the-imam-of-hadith-and-sunnah\/\">Al-Bukhari<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/featured\/imam-muslim-leading-scholar-hadith\/\">Muslim<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">All of this serves to rectify the behavior and help one become close to God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Concerning this close relationship between the soul and the body and their relation with fasting, which is an obligation during the entire month of Ramadan, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bilal_Philips\">Dr. Bilal Philips<\/a> talks about both the spiritual and physical impacts of fasting.
