Allah<\/strong> the Almighty<\/a> has chosen specific persons to convey His revelation to people. They are called Prophets<\/strong> and Messengers<\/strong> (peace be upon them). At the top of the Messengers of God lies the Prophet Ibrahim<\/strong> (Abraham, peace be upon him). He is Allah\u2019s close friend and the father of Prophets and Messengers of God because none of the Prophets who were sent after him but from his offspring.<\/p>\n

Prophet Ibrahim occupies a highly esteemed status in Islam. Almighty Allah<\/a> says in the Qur\u2019an,<\/p>\n

Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader, devoutly obedient to Allah , inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allah.<\/strong> (Ibrahim<\/a> 16:120)<\/p>\n

Peace be upon Abraham. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.<\/strong> (As-Saffat<\/a> 37:111)<\/p>\n

Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah alone and to stop the worship of the idols which could neither bring benefit nor cause harm to them. Allah (Glory be to Him says:<\/p>\n

And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. You only worship, besides Allah , idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned.”<\/strong> (Al-`Ankabut<\/a> 29:-17-18)<\/p>\n
