What are the pillars of prayer (salah<\/em><\/a>) without them the prayer is invalid?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The pillars of prayer are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1- The Intention (An-Niyyah<\/em>) which means setting the right intention for praying each prayer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2- The opening takbeer (takbirat Al-Ihram) which means<\/em> saying \u2018Allahu Akbar\u2018<\/em> at the beginning of prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n

3- The qiyam<\/em> (standing upright if one has the ability to do so).<\/span><\/p>\n

4- Reciting Surat Al-Fatihah<\/em><\/a> (Opening Chapter of the Quran) in each rak`ah<\/em> of prayer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5- Making Ruku`<\/em> (Bowing).<\/span><\/p>\n

6- Rising from the bowing position.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

7- Making Sujud<\/em> (Prostration) twice in each rak`ah<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

8- Sitting between the two prostrations.<\/span><\/p>\n

9- Sitting while reciting the last tashahhud.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

10- The final tashahhud<\/em> (reciting the testimony of faith)<\/span><\/p>\n

11- The tasleem<\/em> (saying \u2018Asalamu Alaikum\u2018<\/em> at the end of the prayer) <\/span><\/p>\n

12- Being calm and feeling at ease while fulfilling each movement is essential to give it its due right; making certain that each body part assumes the appropriate position before one moves from one position to another. <\/span><\/p>\n

13- Following the right order for each pillar as mentioned above.<\/span><\/p>\n
