The prayer of the Prophet was almost balanced. Al-Bara\u2019 (may Allah be pleased with him) said: &#8220;The <i>sujud<\/i> and <i>ruku \u2018<\/i>of the Prophet (peace be upon him), as well as his sitting between the two <i>sajdahs<\/i>, were almost equal in length.&#8221; (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)<\/p>\n<p>One should leave this act, as the best guidance is the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Sheikh ibn \u2018Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy upon him) said: &#8220;Prolonging the final <i>sajdah<\/i> is not part of the Sunnah, since the Sunnah is to have all parts of the prayer practically equal in length, i.e., <i>ruku\u2018<\/i>, standing after it, <i>sujud<\/i>, and sitting between the two <i>Sajdahs<\/i>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is as Al-Bara\u2019 ibn \u2018Azib said: &#8220;I observed the prayer with the Prophet, and I found his <i>Qiyam<\/i> (standing), his <i>ruku\u2018<\/i>, his <i>sujud<\/i>, and his sitting at the end to be almost equal in length.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, there is another place for <i>du\u2018aa\u2019<\/i> other than <i>sujud<\/i>, and that is the <i>Tashahhud<\/i>. The Prophet, taught \u2018Abdullah ibn Mas\u2018ud the <i>Tashahhud<\/i> and said: &#8220;Then let him choose whatever <i>du\u2018aa\u2019<\/i> he likes.&#8221; He thus made the <i>du\u2018aa\u2019<\/i> permissible, whether short or long, after the final <i>Tashahhud<\/i>, prior to saying <i>Tasleem<\/i> (to end the prayer).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, it is best for you to distribute the <i>du\u2018aa\u2019<\/i> throughout the different <i>sajdahs<\/i> of the prayer, until each is similar in length to the others, and that you make <i>du\u2018aa\u2019<\/i> after <i>Tashahhud<\/i> and before the Salam.<\/p>\n<p>__________________<\/p>\n<p><i>Source: islamweb.net.<\/i><a href='https:\/\/prayerinislam.com\/prolonged-supplication-in-the-final-prostration-permissible\/' target='_blank'>Soucre Link<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the ruling of supplication in the prostration?
