What are the things that necessitate ritual bath?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Purification (<em>taharah<\/em>) is one of the most important duties for the Muslim. It means cleanliness of the mind, soul, body and clothes. The Muslim should keep his body and clothes clean by washing them regularly. If the Muslim is not in state of <em>taharah<\/em> (pure), he cannot offer prayer or touch the <em>mushaf <\/em>(copy of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\">Qur&#8217;an<\/a>). The Muslim should always stay clean and remain close to those who are pure and clean.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ghusl<\/em> is one of the basics of cleanliness in Islam. It is known as washing the whole body with pure water. There are some incidents which obligate taking a ritual bath:<\/p>\n<p>1- Sexual intercourse even without ejaculation,<\/p>\n<p>2- Emission of sperm with lust, from a man or woman,<\/p>\n<p>3- After the period of menstruation,<\/p>\n<p>4- Post-natal bleeding.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to this question, Dr. Muhammad Salah explains the meaning of ritual bath and how to perform it.
