It is not the blood that comes out during the menstrual period rather it is colorless, do I have to perform <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/purification-2\/perform-ghusl-men-women\/\"><em>ghusl<\/em> <\/a>(ritual bath) or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/purification-2\/how-to-perform-ablution-2\/\"><em>wudu\u2019<\/em> <\/a>(ablution) and offer prayer on such condition?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800080\">Answer:<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is better for a woman in such case to wash her private parts and perform ablution for each prayer after the time of it has begun. A woman also has to wear sanitary pads.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018A\u2019ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that Fatimah bint Abu Hubaish came to the Prophet(peace be upon him) and said, \u201cO Messenger of Allah, I am a woman whose blood keeps flowing (even after the menstruation). I am never purified; should I, therefore, stop praying?\u201d He (the Prophet) said: \u201cNo, for that is only a vein, and is not menstruation. So when the menstruation comes, abstain from prayers, and when it ends wash the blood from yourself and then pray\u201d.
