Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, &#8220;A slave becomes nearest to his Lord when he is in prostration. So increase supplications while prostrating.&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/featured\/imam-muslim-leading-scholar-hadith\/\">Muslim<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>In another hadith, when the prophet taught the Companions the <em>tashahud<\/em> at the end of the prayer, then he said, \u201cThen let him choose whatever supplications he wishes.\u201d (Agreed Upon)<\/p>\n<p>Responding to this question, Dr. Muhammad Salah states that it is highly recommended to generalize while making the supplication in the congregational prayer.
