{"id":5300,"date":"2025-10-23T09:37:24","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T09:37:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=5300"},"modified":"2025-10-23T09:37:24","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T09:37:24","slug":"having-doubts-about-my-wudu-what-shall-i-do","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=5300","title":{"rendered":"Having Doubts About My Wudu: What Shall I Do?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Satan loves subjecting people to doubt about their <em>wudu&#8217;<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/fatwas-rulings\/changing-a-babys-diaper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ablution<\/a>) because it takes focus away from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.new-muslims.info\/acts-of-worship\/prayer-worship-day-day-life\/\">worship<\/a>. It can become so bad that instead of focusing on your prayer, you stand, recite, and bow in a state of doubt.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a belief that only people with OCD\u2019s struggle with their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/fatwas-rulings\/can-shower-count-wudu\/\"><em>wudu&#8217;<\/em><\/a>. The truth is we all deal with doubt, and given the number of times a day we make, break, and re-make <em>wudu<\/em>&#8216;, it\u2019s easy to see why.<\/p>\n<p>We do need to make <em>wudu&#8217;<\/em> and maintain our spiritual hygiene, but once we have done our part, we need to let the doubts go. Even scholars struggled with similar doubts, and they came up with creative ways of ignoring doubt and focusing on their prayers instead.
