{"id":407,"date":"2025-09-16T05:37:23","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T05:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=407"},"modified":"2025-09-16T05:37:23","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T05:37:23","slug":"much-quran-reading-daily","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=407","title":{"rendered":"How Much Quran Should I Be Reading Daily?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Reading Quran Daily<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>There are many<em> hadiths<\/em> that talk about the virtues or reciting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/about-the-quran\/reconnecting-with-the-quran-how\/\">Quran<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hadith_narrated\">\n<p>Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: &#8220;A believer who recites the Quran is like an orange whose fragrance is sweet and whose taste is sweet; a believer who does not recite the Quran is like a date which has no fragrance but has a sweet taste; and the hypocrite who recites the Quran is like a basil whose fragrance is sweet, but whose taste is bitter; and a hypocrite who does not recite the Quran is like the colocynth (bitter-apple) which has no fragrance and has a bitter taste.&#8221; <strong>(Muslim)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In another hadith, Ibn Mas`ud narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, &#8220;Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.&#8221;<strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/featured\/at-tirmidhi-imam-of-hadith-and-fiqh\/\">At-Tirmidhi<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Quran is such an important aspect of each and every Muslim&#8217;s life.
