Definitions and rulings of wadi , madhi and mani.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Question:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I have to wait for a long time after urination due to the release of wadi<\/em>. How could I relieve such burden, and how long should I stay after urination? Is it permissible to ask Allah to stop the flow of wadi<\/em> after urination?<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, there are three types of discharges that are released from one\u2019s private parts:<\/p>\n

1- Wadi<\/em> is a thick white secretion released sometimes after urination by some people. It is regarded as impure. Ibn `Abbas related that “Mani<\/em> (ejaculation or full sexual discharge) requires ghusl <\/em>(ritual bath). As for madhi<\/em> (prostatic fluid or initial sexual discharge) and wadi<\/em> they require wudu\u2019<\/em> (ablution)<\/a> and cleaning the private parts\u201d.<\/p>\n

2- Madhi<\/em> is a white sticky fluid that is discharged from the sexual organs because of sexual excitement or foreplay. Scholars are agreed that it is impure. It must be washed off if it gets onto the body. It is sufficient to sprinkle some water on the clothes to purify them. Madhi<\/em> invalidates ablution only and there is no need to perform ghusl<\/em>.<\/p>\n

3- Mani<\/em> is a white sick discharges by male or female as a result of sexual ejaculation.\u00a0 Scholars are agreed that it is pure. It necessitates performing ghusl<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 `A\u2019ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: \u201cI used to scratch the sperm off the Prophet\u2019s clothes if it was dry, and wash it off if it was still wet.\u201d (Ad-Daraqutni)<\/p>\n

Responding to this question, Dr. Muhammad Salah states that it is valid for anyone suffering from sickness to turn to Allah, asking Him for healing and recovery. The Qur\u2019an says:<\/p>\n

And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.<\/strong> (Ash-Shu`araa\u2019 <\/a>26:80)<\/p>\n

After that, Dr. Muhammad explains the rulings of discharges that are resealed from the private organs.<\/p>\n
