They [are the ones who] believe in it. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/recitation-surat-al-baqarah\/\">Al-Baqarah<\/a> 2:121)<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to a new interesting episode of \u201cCorrect Your Recitation\u201d series with Sheikh Muhammad Salah and his guests. First Sheikh Isma`il recites from surat Al-Ma`un (the small kindnesses) to the end of the Qur\u2019an.<\/p>\n<p><em>Surat Al-Ma`un<\/em> is the 107<sup>th<\/sup> chapter of the Qur\u2019an with seven verses. Ibn `Abbass noted that part (which part) of this chapter was revealed in Makkah and the other part (which part) in Madinah. This is because the hypocrites did not exist in Makkah. So, the reference to them could have only occurred in Madinah. It explains the bad consequences of not believing in the life after death. It also talks about the excellence of <em>salat<\/em> (prayer) and the bad consequences of delaying or neglecting it. The <em>surah <\/em>also urges Muslims to feed the poor and the needy. Islam encourages Muslims to take care of the orphans and treat them with mercy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Surat Al-Kawthar<\/em> (the Abundance) is the shortest <em>surah<\/em> in the Qur\u2019an. It is 108<sup>th<\/sup> chapter of the Qur\u2019an that was revealed in Makkah. The <em>surah<\/em> describes the lofty status of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The <em>surah<\/em> guides Muslims to offer prayer and sacrifices during the harsh times. It also commands Muslims to establish the acts of worship solely for Allah.<\/p>\n<p>As usual Dr. Muhammad Salah begins his talk by reflecting on the meanings of the <em>surahs<\/em>.
