Forget to Pray Zhuhr<\/em> Prayer until `Asr<\/a><\/em> Time<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Question:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

I remembered that I had not offered the Zhuhr<\/em> Prayer (Noon) while I was in the bus, and it was a few minutes before `Asr<\/em> (Afternoon) prayer comes in. I was not in a state of taharah<\/em><\/a> (ablution), what should I do in such case?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Muslims are ordered to pray five times a day at specific times. Almighty Allah says:<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.<\/strong> (An- Nisa’<\/a> 4:103)<\/span><\/p>\n

Delaying prayer beyond its appointed time is a grave major sin, as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):<\/span><\/p>\n

“So woe to those who pray (hypocrites). But] who are heedless of their prayer”.<\/strong> (Al-Ma`un<\/a> 107:4-5)<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The (whole) earth has been made a mosque (or a place of prayer) and a means of purification for me, so wherever a man of my ummah may be when the time for prayer comes, let him pray.” (Al-Bukhari<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n
