{"id":32,"date":"2025-09-14T22:01:40","date_gmt":"2025-09-14T22:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=32"},"modified":"2025-09-14T22:01:40","modified_gmt":"2025-09-14T22:01:40","slug":"al-fatihah-summary-quran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=32","title":{"rendered":"Al-Fatihah: The Summary of the Qur\u2019an"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this short talk, Sheikh Nouman Khan reflects on two verses from <i>Surat<\/i> Al-Fatihah (the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Chapter of the Qur\u2019an) showing how these verses summarize the noble message of the Qur\u2019an.<\/p>\n<p>The Almighty Allah says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;padding-right: 30px\"><strong>It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. <\/strong>(<a title=\"Recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah\" href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/al-ajmi-al-ghamidi-and-al-lahuni\/recitation-surat-al-fatihah-3\/\">Al-Fatihah <\/a>1:5-6)<\/p>\n<p>He begins his talk by mentioning that, while he was studying the knowledge of <i>tafseer <\/i>with a scholar, the scholar asked him after six months, give me the summary of the Qur\u2019an in one sentence? He was amazed, only one sentence, then the scholar said, define two sentences?<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201chow am I going to summarize the entire Qur\u2019an in two sentences?&#8221; Then he remembered what he had said as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1- Accept Allah as a <b>master<\/b> and accept yourself as a <b>slave<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>There are a lot of people who accept Allah as master, but do not accept themselves as slaves. Everyone must accept that, \u201cyou are slave then He is your master\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>2- the <b>guidance<\/b> is only beneficial to people who accept themselves as <b>slaves<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>It is to say that slavery and guidance are the summary of the Qur\u2019an.
