{"id":3000,"date":"2025-10-05T05:36:55","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T05:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=3000"},"modified":"2025-10-05T05:36:55","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T05:36:55","slug":"can-we-say-ramadan-kareem-to-celebrate-the-beginning-of-ramadan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=3000","title":{"rendered":"Can We Say &#8220;Ramadan Kareem&#8221; to Celebrate the Beginning of Ramadan?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Question:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ramadan-kareem.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11975\" src=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ramadan-kareem-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Ramadan Kareem\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Can we say &#8220;Ramadan Kareem&#8221; to celebrate the beginning of Ramadan?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Answer:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\">In his response to the question, the prominent Saudi Islamic lecturer and author,\u00a0<strong>Sheikh Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjid<\/strong>, states:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">There is nothing wrong with felicitating one another well at the beginning of the\u00a0month of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/15-hadiths-on-ramadan-and-fasting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramadan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/prophet-muhammad\/prophet-legacy\/van-damme-says-follows-prophet-muhammads-healthy-eating-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0Prophet Muhammad<\/a>(peace be upon him) used to tell his Companions the good news of the onset of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/acts-of-worship\/fasting\/fiqh-council-of-north-americas-statement-on-ramadan-fasting-during-coronavirus-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramadan<\/a>, and he used to urge them to make the most of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, The Messenger of Allah said, <strong>\u201cThere has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month. Allah has made it obligatory on you to fast (this month). During it, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are locked, and the devils are chained up.
