Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/mishari-bin-rashid\/recitation-surat-al-hashr\/\">Al-Hashr<\/a> 59:27)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, \u201cAllah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is <em>witr<\/em> (one) and loves <em>\u2018the witr\u2018<\/em> (i.e., odd numbers).\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/islamic-history\/albukhari-the-imam-of-hadith-and-sunnah\/\">Al-Bukhari<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\"><strong>Dr. Yasir Qadhi<\/strong> continues his commentary on the Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah Almighty. The Name As-Sittir is not found in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/about-the-quran\/permissible-recite-entire-quran-less-3-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quran<\/a> but it is mentioned in the Sunnah. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">It was narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, &#8220;Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is forbearing, modest and concealing, and He loves modesty and concealment. When any one of you performs ghusl, let him conceal himself.&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/featured\/imam-an-nasai-the-great-authority-of-hadith\/\">An-Nasa&#8217;i<\/a>)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Linguistically, As-Sittir (derived from the root word <em>sitr)<\/em> is one who conceals something.
