Can a Menstruating Woman Enter the Masjid?<\/h2>\n

Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter the masjid<\/a>?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Almighty Allah says:<\/span><\/p>\n

“O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah<\/em>, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body].” <\/span><\/strong>(An-Nisa’<\/a> 4:43)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The general rule is, when a Muslim woman is on her monthly period, she should not visit the Musallah<\/em> area. Meaning she should not go where the prayers are offered.<\/span><\/p>\n

The masajid<\/em> of today are vast and different. They have various areas apart from the main Musallah<\/em> area where women can sit and benefit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
