Some people claimed that the solar eclipse happened due to the child\u2019s death and the deep sadness of the Prophet (peace be upon him).<\/p>\n<p>Al-Mughirah ibn Shu`bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that, &#8220;The sun eclipsed in the lifetime of Allah\u2019s Messenger (peace be upon him) on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Allah&#8217;s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, &#8220;The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of someone.
