No one other than Almighty <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/revelation\/quran-and-sunnah\/indispensability-of-quran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">God<\/a> is responsible for one letter therein. And no one else is capable of reproducing such a work.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">2-<\/span> <\/strong>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunnah.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sunnah<\/a> is the authentically recorded words and actions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/muslim-lifestyle\/values-of-islam\/social-values-in-the-message-of-prophet-muhammad-moderation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prophet Muhammad<\/a> (peace be upon him). The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/islamic-history\/muslim-figures\/albukhari-the-imam-of-hadith-and-sunnah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sunnah<\/a> is inspired by the guidance of God, but is not linguistically miraculous because it came from the mind of the Prophet.<\/p>\n<p>The words Hadith (saying\/report) and Sunnah (tradition\/life style) of Prophet Muhammad are similar because one is taken from the other.<\/p>\n<p>Our scholars from the first century to the fourth gathered millions of hadiths and recorded and classified hundreds of thousands.<\/p>\n<p>As you will see some hadiths are a reliable source of revelation and some are\u00a0 fabrications of misguided people.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">What is the Difference Between Hadith and Sunnah?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Sunnah is a collection of all hadiths which are proven to be authentic.<\/p>\n<p>The word Hadith refers to the recorded sayings, deeds, tacit approvals, as well as the exalted character and physical appearance of the Prophet Muhammad.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Examples of hadiths:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">From His sayings<\/span><\/strong> which occurred and were recorded throughout His prophethood:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndeed, actions are but by their intentions and for every person is what he\/she intended.\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/islamic-history\/muslim-figures\/albukhari-the-imam-of-hadith-and-sunnah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Al-Bukhari<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>From His deeds:<\/strong> This includes all the actions done by the Prophet which were witnessed, memorized, and recorded such as his performance of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">prayer<\/a>, pilgrimage, and so on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From His tacit approval:<\/strong> This refers to the occasions when the Prophet approved some statement or action of his companions by remaining silent. For example, when his Companions ate a lizard in front of him.<\/p>\n<p>Though he didn\u2019t join them, the Prophet didn\u2019t object to them eating it. Had it have been forbidden, he would have definitely clarified its prohibition.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">From His characteristics:<\/span><\/strong> The physical characteristics and moral etiquette that are reported about the Prophet.<\/p>\n<p>Hadiths constitute the second source of revelation in Islam. This is made clear in several verses where God commands us <b>\u201cO you who believe! Obey God and Obey His Messenger\u201d<\/b>. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.quran.com\/4\/59\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">An-Nisaa\u2019<b> <\/b>4:59<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Obeying God can only be in obeying the Quran which is His only preserved message to mankind.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quran.com.kw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quran<\/a> never mentions <b>\u201cObey God\u201d<\/b> without mentioning \u201c<b>and obey His Messenger<\/b>\u201d as a separate entity entitled to obedience.<\/p>\n<p>The Prophet was sent to expound upon God\u2019s message with the guidance of God. There are a few instances where the Prophet did something and God immediately sent a verse reprimanding him.<\/p>\n<p>God says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;padding-right: 30px\"><strong> And whoever obeys the Prophet has indeed obeyed God. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.quran.com\/4\/80\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">An-Nisaa\u2019 4:80<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>God says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;padding-right: 30px\"><strong> There has certainly been provided an excellent example to follow in the Messenger of God for anyone who hopes to be with God and succeed on the Day of Judgment and remembers God often. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.quran.com\/33\/21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Al-Ahzab 33:21<\/a>)<\/p>\n<a href='https:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/defining-the-words-hadith-and-sunnah\/' target='_blank'>Soucre Link<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What does the word Hadith mean, and what\u2019s the difference between Hadith and Sunnah?
