Is it once she hears the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/why-we-pray\/call-to-prayer-adhan\/\">Adhan<\/a> or does she have to wait the <em>iqamah <\/em>of the near <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/why-we-pray\/excellence-going-mosques-prayer\/\">mosque<\/a>?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\"><strong>Answer: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Almighty Allah says:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\"><span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong>Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.<\/strong> <\/span>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/recitation-of-surat-an-nisaa-3\/\">An-Nisa&#8217;<\/a> 4:103)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">It was also narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: &#8220;The best of the deeds or deed is the (observance of) prayer at its proper time and kindness to the parents.&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.the-faith.com\/featured\/imam-muslim-leading-scholar-hadith\/\">Muslim<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">The &#8220;adhan&#8221; in Islam is but a signal or a public announcement made as a proclamation to all those who hear it that the time to offer the prescribed obligatory prayer of the day or night is now due.
