Is it permissible while making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prayerinislam.com\/fatwas-rulings\/what-is-sujud-ash-shukr-in-islam\/\"><em>sujud ash-shukr<\/em><\/a> (prostration of forgetfulness)?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #ff6600\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Covering the <em>`awrah<\/em> is one of the validity conditions of prayer. Covering the <em>`awrah<\/em> while praying for both men and women is obligatory due to unanimous agreement of the jurists . Therefore, prayer without covering the <em>`awrah<\/em> is invalid.
