Learn how to correct your recitation of the Qur’an:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Almighty Allah says:<\/p>\n

\u2026and recite the Qur’an with measured recitation. <\/strong>(Al-Muzzammil <\/a>73:4)<\/p>\n

In another verse:<\/p>\n

Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. <\/strong>(Al-Baqarah <\/a>2:121)<\/p>\n

Welcome to a new interesting episode of \u201cCorrect Your Recitation\u201d series with Sheikh Muhammad Salah and his guests. First Sheikh Isma`il recites the full surah<\/em> of Al-Qadr (the Power) and Al-Bayynah<\/em> (the Clear Proof). Surat Al-Qadr <\/em>is the 97th<\/sup> chapter of the Qur\u2019an with seven verses. It was revealed in Makkah just after surat<\/em> Al-`Ala` (the Clot). It talks about the first revelation of the Qur\u2019an which was in the cave of Hira\u2019 on the last ten days of Ramadan. That night was also Laylat Al-Qadr<\/em>. Some scholars see that the whole Qur\u2019an was revealed that night in written form from Al-lawh Al-Mahfuzh<\/em> (Preserved Tablet).<\/p>\n

The surah<\/em> also talks about the superiority of Laylat Al-Qadr<\/em> (the night of decree) that good deeds on it surpass the actions of a thousand months that do not include the night of decree. The majority of scholars believe that Laylat Al-Qadr<\/em> occurs in Ramadan, in the odd nights of the last ten nights. Some are of the opinion that it is always on the 27th<\/sup> night, but the correct opinion is that it is on a different night each year. Some say that if any of the odd nights falls on Thursday night, then it is more likely to be Laylat al-Qadr<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Surat Al-Bayynah<\/em> is the 98th<\/sup> chapter of the Qur\u2019an with eight verses. The surah<\/em> talks about the polytheists of Makkah as well as the people of the book.<\/p>\n

As usual Dr. Muhammad Salah begins his talk by reflecting on the meanings of the verses, and explains the first period of the revelation of the Qur\u2019an. Then Dr. Muhammad receives the phone calls of the viewers to correct their recitation.<\/p>\n
