Muslims believe that the Prophet Muhammad is a human being.<\/p><\/div>\n
Who is Muhammad?<\/a> How do Muslims view Muhammad<\/a>? Did he claim that he is God<\/a> or a son of God?<\/p>\n
What does the Quran<\/a> say about him?<\/p>\n
Muslims believe that the Prophet Muhammad<\/a> is a human being. He was sent by God<\/a> with a divine revelation<\/a>, like the prophets before him; Jacob, Joseph, Moses, and Jesus (peace be them all).<\/p>\n
In the following verse, we read what the Prophet of Islam was ordered to tell the people about himself:<\/p>\n
Say, \u2018I am only a human being, like you, to whom it has been revealed that your God is One. Anyone who fearsb to meet his Lord should do good deeds and give no one a share in the worship due to his Lord.<\/strong> (Al-Kahf 18:110)<\/p>\n
In another verse, we read:<\/p>\n
A Messenger has come to you from among yourselves. Your su<\/strong>ff<\/strong>ering distresses him: he is deeply concerned for you and full of kindness and mercy towards the believers.<\/strong> (At-Tawbah 9:128)<\/p>\n
It was narrated that Ibn Mas`ud said a man came to the Prophet<\/a> (peace be upon him), so he spoke to him, and he started to tremble with awe. He said to him: \u2018Take it easy. I am not a king; I am just a man whose mother ate dried meat.\u2019\u201d (Ibn Majah)<\/p>\n
