Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/mishari-bin-rashid\/recitation-surat-al-hashr\/\">Al-Hashr<\/a> 59:27)<\/p>\n<p>Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, \u201cAllah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is <em>witr<\/em> (one) and loves <em>\u2018the witr\u2018<\/em> (i.e., odd numbers).\u201d (Al-Bukhari)<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Yasir Qadhi continues his commentary on the Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah Almighty. He explains the concept of \u2018<em>Al-Maghfirah\u2019<\/em> and its derivatives which has been mentioned 91 times in the Qur\u2019an, making it one of the most common Names. In the classical Arabic connotations, the root <em>\u2018Ghafar\u2019<\/em> does not only mean \u201cto forgive\u201d; rather it means to conceal, cover and pretend that something does not exist.
