They are granted these rights even when they become orphans. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was himself an orphan. Islam and the teachings of the Prophet highlight the good treatment for the orphans:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;padding-right: 30px\"><strong>So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. <\/strong>(<a title=\"Recitation of Surat Ad-Duha\" href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/al-ajmi-al-ghamidi-and-al-lahuni\/recitation-surat-ad-duha-3\/\">Ad-Duha<\/a> 93:9)<\/p>\n<p>Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, \u201cWhoever caresses the head of an orphan (in affection), solely for the sake of Allah, a good deed will be written to his account for every hair over which he passed his hand.\u201d (Ahmad)<\/p>\n<p>An Orphan is a title given to a child who is left with no protection because his\/her parents have passed away. In this video, Sheikh Nouman Khan ponders over the following verse from Surat Al-Fajr (The Dawn) clarifying how the disbelievers before the mission of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to treat the orphans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;padding-right: 30px\"><strong>No!
