{"id":12274,"date":"2026-01-30T09:36:58","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T09:36:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=12274"},"modified":"2026-01-30T09:36:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T09:36:58","slug":"delaying-prayer-for-a-quran-program-permissible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=12274","title":{"rendered":"Delaying Prayer for a Qur&#8217;an Program: Permissible?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #800000\">Delaying Prayer for a Qur&#8217;an Program, Permissible?<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;color: #800080\"><strong>Question:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">If we are teaching a program that focuses on the recitation of the Qur&#8217;an and the time for prayer comes, shall we continue the program or should we go for Salah?<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;color: #800080\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Almighty Allah says:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000\">&#8220;Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.&#8221;<\/span> <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/recitation-of-surat-an-nisaa-3\/\">An-Nisa&#8217;<\/a> 4:103)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">Um Farwah, one of those who gave pledge of allegiance to the Prophet, narrated: &#8220;The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked: &#8216;Which deed is the best?&#8217; So he said: &#8216;Salah in the beginning of its time.'&#8221; (Muslim)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">`Abdullah bin Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), &#8220;Which of the deeds is loved most by Allah?&#8221; The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, &#8220;Prayer at its due time.&#8221; I asked, &#8221;What is next?&#8221; He (peace be upon him) replied, &#8221;Kindness to parents.&#8221; I asked, &#8221;What is next?&#8221; He replied, &#8221;Jihad in the way of Allah.&#8221; (Agreed Upon)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif\">\u0650A Muslim should always hasten to offer Salah after the coming of its time.
