{"id":11042,"date":"2026-01-14T07:37:56","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T07:37:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=11042"},"modified":"2026-01-14T07:37:56","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T07:37:56","slug":"prayer-key-success-24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imuslim.us\/?p=11042","title":{"rendered":"Prayer: Key to Success (2\/4)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"202\" data-end=\"318\"><strong data-start=\"202\" data-end=\"318\">In this episode, Sheikh Mufti continues his enlightening talk about the second pillar of Islam \u2014 prayer (Salah).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"507\">He begins by describing the emotions a believer experiences upon hearing the Adhan (call to prayer), in contrast to those who mock or take it lightly. About them, the Almighty Allah says:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"668\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"668\"><em data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"640\">\u201cAnd when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason.\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"643\" \/>\u2014 <strong data-start=\"647\" data-end=\"668\">(Al-Ma\u2019idah 5:58)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"860\">Secondly, the obligatory prayers are distributed throughout the day and night at prescribed times, ensuring that a Muslim remains in a constant state of remembrance. Allah the Almighty says:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"972\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"972\"><em data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"949\">\u201cAnd establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night.\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"949\" data-end=\"952\" \/>\u2014 <strong data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"972\">(Hud 11:114)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1072\">Thirdly, prayer serves as one of the fundamental ways through which sins are expiated. Allah says:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1207\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1207\"><em data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1179\">\u201cI am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah\u2026 I will surely remove from you your misdeeds\u2026\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1182\" \/>\u2014 <strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1207\">(Al-Ma\u2019idah 5:12)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1209\" data-end=\"1307\">Fourth, laziness in prayer is a known trait of the hypocrites. Allah describes them in the Qur\u2019an:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1546\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1546\"><em data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1518\">\u201cIndeed, the hypocrites [think to] deceive Allah, but He is deceiving them.
