They [are the ones who] believe in it. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/recitation-surat-al-baqarah\/\">Al-Baqarah<\/a> 2:121)<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to a new interesting episode of \u201cCorrect Your Recitation\u201d series with Sheikh Muhammad Salah and his guests. First Sheikh Isma`il recites the full surah of <em>Ash-Shams<\/em>. <em>Surat Ash-Shams<\/em> is the 91<sup>th<\/sup> chapter of the Qur\u2019an with fifteen verses. It is a <em>Makki surah<\/em> that contains many oaths sworn on astronomical phenomena. The <em>surah<\/em> narrates the story of Prophet Salih (peace be upon him) and his people (Thamud). They disobeyed their prophet and object to his message and therefore Allah Almighty destroyed them at the end. The Almighty Allah says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;padding-right: 30px\"><strong>`Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning. Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune. Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted. <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learning-quran.com\/quran-translations\/en-translation\/mishari-bin-rashid\/recitation-surat-al-qamar\/\">Al-Qamar<\/a> 54: 18-20)<\/p>\n<p>As usual Dr. Muhammad Salah begins his talk by reflecting on the verses of the surah to ease their understanding for viewers. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the most beloved to Allah used to invoke Allah Almighty to purify his soul.
